PRIZE FROM SODALITAS "VIVEREOGGI . JOURNALISM FOR SOCIAL ACTION"


Sodalitas
Sodalitas, The Association for Enterprise Development within Social Action, was founded in 1995 by the Assolombarda initiative and by a group of companies, and since then operate as a link between the business world and that of non-profit. Thanks to its voluntary consultants-managers, Sodalitas aids and supports non-profit organisations with their management processes, transformations and development, offering free consultations; it promotes initiatives that strengthen the social responsibility of enterprises.

Vivereoggi
Vivereoggi, a magazine for a new support culture edited by Ires Cogi, founded in Milan in 1986. Vivereoggi over time has confirmed itself as a leading magazine in its sector, by becoming an important training tool and an update for operators and managers in the social, social-health care and educational fields.

Sodalitas - Vivereoggi Prize. Journalism for social action
With the intention of favouring the growth of an information culture which is aware of social problems, Sodalitas - The Association for Enterprise Development within Social Action - and Vivereoggi - the magazine for a new support culture - reward the operators of information who have distinguished themselves in studying and reporting themes of high social value to the public. To promote the sensitivity to social action among the journalists of tomorrow, this edition will declare a suitable prize for the students of the schools of journalism. The overall prize money is valued at 6,000 euro.

The Judges

Competition
- Participation is reserved for journalists who, through different mediums, are committed to the diffusion of social themes.
- To participate, you must compile the application form available on the site www.sodalitas.it and send it via e-mail, by the 15/10/2003, to the following address: giornalismosociale2003@yahoo.it. By the same date, the secretary of the Prize should have obtained all competing articles, audio/video cassettes and web pages.
- The application forms must have an enclosed copy of each entry. For services using Internet, it is necessary to indicate the relevant web site address.
- Works published, broadcast or released from the 01/04/2002 to the 30/06/2003 inclusive can compete.
- Each competitor can present a maximum of three entries.
- The entries for the prize cannot be returned.
- Entry to the prize is free.
- The overall prize is worth 6,000 euro, and will be divided at the discretion of the judging panel among the winners of the three sections: 1.press and web: newspaper articles, on line texts; 2. radio and television: audio and video cassettes; 3. students from the schools of journalism: essays and studies carried out by the students from
the schools of journalism at a national level, not necessarily published.

The winner will have the possibility of publishing their entry in a specialised magazine.

- The Judging Panel reserve the right to assign special prizes for communication operators who have distinguished themselves in the promotion of social causes.
- The prize giving will take place in Milan in November 2003.
- Participation in the prize implies acceptance by you of all the regulations contained in the competition.
