Those 20 cents...
We're only talking about twenty cents, or four hundred
of the old lire, but it is a pain in the neck. Why should customers be
charged for postage for bills? It isn't fair, it's even illegal. This
was the ruling of a justice of the peace in Catanzaro, which sentenced
Telecom to pay 20 cents to the customer who sued them and damages for
60 euro.
Thus, since "the cost of issuing bills and consequent execution and formalities
of such cannot give rise to a charge for any reason whatsoever," we are
authorised to believe that the item "postal charges" will soon disappear
from all bills, not only telephone, but gas and electricity as well. Thank God,
that's one annoyance out of the way.
