An 87 year old man, robbed by two fake gas company employees, who entered his house under false pretences, has killed himself. He shot himself, with his wife looking on. This happened in Milan.
For the past twenty years, fake Enel (Italian electricity company) employees, fake postal inspectors, fake police officers, fake gas company employees and fake social workers have been knocking at the doors of senior citizens, particularly those who live alone. This swindling occurs with frightening frequency. Even if the TV stations, newspapers, and even involved companies repeatedly warn against this.
It is a suicide that weighs on all of us. We are not able to defeat the clever-cowards, but we manage to forget the elderly.
