The receipt counts
It has been abolished, as everyone knows. But if the consumer
asks for it, the shopkeeper is obliged to give it. We are referring to
the sales receipt. "Ask for it," the campaign of the Ministry
for Productive Activities says, "it is your guarantee." True.
Thanks to a legislative decree issued in 2002, from that moment on, every
type of product, new or second hand, has been covered by a two-year guarantee.
During this interval of time, if the product does not work, or works badly
or is different from the advertised description, the consumer can request
its replacement, a reduction in price, a refund of the sum paid or its
repair. Therefore the receipt counts now more than ever before. |
